Freshney Place Sunflower Competition - Winners Announed
Freshney Place would like to thank everyone who entered the Sunflower Competiton and would like to announce the winners;
1st Prize - Walter Neville Wright has won £500 of Holiday Vouchers for the Tallest Sunflower, measuring an astonishing 14' 6".
2nd Prize - Mrs Janet Porter has won £150 of National Garden Vouchers for the Largest Sunflower Head, measuring an impressive 15".
3rd Prize - Ben Blake has won a £75 Freshney Place Gift Card for the Tiniest Sunflower, measuring just 10cm.
First Steps Campaign, on Friday 17 November 2008, in Market Square (next to Card Factory)
Hollyoaks star, Carley Stenson (aka Steph Cunningham in the popular Channel 4 soap), is visiting Freshney Place on Friday 17th October, between 11.00am and 1.00pm, to officially launch North East Lincolnshire Care Trust Plus's new stop smoking campaign called First Steps aimed at pregnant teenagers.
The Hollyoaks star is the face of First Steps that has been created with help from pregnant teenagers in Grimsby. The actress features on new campaign materials including a poster and an informative magazine called FS. In addition, a new text messaging service has been introduced to encourage more teenagers to sign up to the stop smoking service and receive support.
Teenagers wanting more information on the First Steps campaign or help to take the first steps to stop smoking, should call 0845 6032 166 for a friendly first chat or text FIRST STEPS and their name to 0750 099 2446 and someone will call back. Local GPs, midwives and health visitors can also provide more information.
