Freshney Place Gift Cards can be purchased from the Customer ServiceDesk in Baxtergate Mall.

Card expiry
Please note individual Freshney Place Gift Cards expire when the balance of the card reaches zero or 12 months after the date of purchase. This is different to the scheme expiry date shown on the front of the card. The final date an individual Freshney Place Gift Card may be used for purchase is printed on the receipt supplied with the card. The Freshney Place Gift Card may not be used after this date. If any balance remains on the Gift Card after this date it will not be refunded.

What are Freshney Place Gift Cards?
Freshney Place Gift Cards are a brand new Gift product and an alternative to Gift Cheques. They provide much more flexibility than Gift Cheques and can be spent with any retailer in Freshney Place that accepts Maestro. Freshney Place Gift Cards are not in fixed denominations and may be spent at as many different retailers in Freshney Place until the amount loaded on the card is exhausted.
How do Freshney Place Gift Cards Work?
Freshney Place Gift Cards are pre paid Mastercard Maestro cards. They work exactly the same way as a bank debit card. Freshney Place Gift Cards can be loaded up to the value of £1,000 and spent in as many retailers as desired until the card is exhausted. Freshney Place Gift Cards may only be loaded once and may not be topped up.
Where can Freshney Place Gift Cards be spent?
Freshney Place Gift Cards can be spent in any retailer, restaurant or leisure operator in Freshney Place who accepts MasterCard Maestro. Retailers simply process the Gift Card in exactly the same way as any other credit or debit card.

Freshney Place Gift Cards can be purchased from the Customer Service Desk during centre opening times.
Do charges apply?
There is an issue fee of £2 when the Freshney Place Gift Card is purchased. An Account Management fee of £2.50 per month is debited from the remaining balance on the card. These charges are waived for the first 6 months. During the first 6 months the Freshney Place Gift Card may be used without any account charges. At the expiry date, any balance remaining on the card will not be refunded.
Why are charges applied?
Charges are applied to the Freshney Place Gift Card as the cards use the banking network in the same way as any other bank debit or credit card. Using the bank network requires Freshney Place to make payments to the bank and MasterCard. The charges levied on the Gift Card help to cover these payments.
How do I check what the balance is on my card?
You can check the balance on your card on line at www.flex-e-card.com, at the Freshney Place Customer Service Desk or by phoning customer services on 0870 730 7343.
